Life of Moses

One day in February 2014, I happened to be in the right place at the right time. I was at The Church of Conscious Harmony with 4 others the morning they received several crates of paintings by Lillian Delevoryas. As we unloaded each piece and each stood in awe, I took photos and marveled at this artist’s work that spoke to both my eyes and heart. Lillian included the sketchbooks and folders of collage materials leftover from the creation of the series – a real inside peak at how the works were made.

I wrote Lillian an email to let her know how meaningful and inspirational this experience was for me. Within a week or so she wrote back and invited me to join her in creating her first published book.

I hopped on a plane to England approximately 1 year after seeing her paintings. We began designing this book together and finished most of it in the week we sat side by side.

She has been such a gift to have as a friend and mentor.

I hope our work together has just begun.

We didn’t build the portfolio site below – but we plan to visit again soon, so I’ll keep you posted 🙂
