I met Jack Sanders in Starkville, MS fall of 2005. He was teaching at Mississippi State and frequented the little bar across from my house. I’d often see Jack and Daryl out my window and would decide to put schoolwork on hold whilst we enjoyed a beer together.

That summer, he invited my friend John and I to his 30th birthday party in Austin… and we drove over. It was a 3 day celebration that made John and I decide Austin was the place to be.

Years later, at just the right time, I saw Jack at a party and he said those beautiful words “I need a website”.

I came to Jack’s studio with so much stuff he decided to let me move in.

We shared space at Red Bluff while designing his brand and website – and I’d rummage through his old scrapbooks any time we made something new.

We are no longer sharing a studio – but, I’m sure we’ll always be friends and I hope we have many more adventures down the line.
